Overall takeaway: Jason Statham and Andy Garcia were top-notch. It’s a suspenseful, revenge-driven action thriller with a few surprises in the end.

On the eve of her college graduation, Natalie’s life diverges into two parallel realities: one in which she becomes pregnant and must navigate motherhood as a young adult in her Texas hometown, the other in which she moves to LA to pursue her career.
Overall takeaway: It’s a really okay movie with a message that everything’s going to be okay in the end.

Overall takeaway: The storyline is interesting and full of twists and turns. There’s a good amount of drama and suspense but, overall, it’s a little drawn out.
Licorice Pizza (2022)
The story of Alana Kane and Gary Valentine running around and falling in love in the San Fernando Valley, 1973.
Overall takeaway: It’s slow-paced, so go into it with patience to appreciate its underlying themes and character development. It gives off Indie vibes and evokes feelings of nostalgia if that’s your kind of thing. Just like its name, it’s an acquired taste.
I Just Killed My Dad
Anthony Templet shot his father and never denied it. But why he did it is a complex question with profound implications. Explore Anthony’s psyche prior to the events of June 3, 2019 and the journey of his mental and emotional aftermath.
Overall takeaway: Another true crime docuseries. Very dark but thought-provoking and described by critics as an emotional roller coaster.

Overall takeaway: Engaging characters but somewhat predictable plot. If you love crime dramas, it’s definitely worth checking out!
Tales of the Walking Dead
Anthology series made up of standalone hours focused on new and already-introduced characters from the Dead-verse.
Overall takeaway: Yet another spinoff of “The Walking Dead” but the shift in tonality is a breath of fresh air. A much more lighthearted take that will pique any TWD fan’s interest.
Surfside Girls
Quick wits lead to daring discoveries for beachside besties Sam and Jade as they sleuth out supernatural mysteries in their sleepy hometown of Surfside. Based on the best-selling young adult graphic novels.
Overall takeaway: Cute show, especially for tween audiences. A delightful and clean watch for families to enjoy together.
The Girl in the Mirror
After losing her memory in a bizarre accident that kills most of her classmates, Alma tries to unravel what happened that day — and regain her identity.
Overall takeaway: Mysterious and eerie. 9 episodes may have been too many, nonetheless, it’s captivating.
The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent (2022)
Creatively unfulfilled and facing financial ruin, Nick Cage must accept a $1 million offer to attend the birthday of a dangerous superfan.
Overall takeaway: This spoof movie has been described as “wildly creative” by critics. Nicholas Cage spends almost 2 hours making fun of himself – talk about self-aware. Even non Nic Cage fans will get a kick out of the wittiness.
